The 9th Annual Charlotte Biotechnology Conference will provide insight from some of the most recognized biotechnology, business and research professionals from around the globe in addition to highlighting regional opportunities and investment trends within the local biotechnology sector.
The mission of the CBC is to provide an overview of current activities and opportunities within the university, research, business, investment and economic development sectors. Attendees should anticipate a thought-provoking, highly informative and inspiring cornerstone event for the at-large Charlotte biotechnology community.

Lunch will open at 11:15 am. Opening remarks will begin at approximately 11:40 am with our morning keynote, Dr. Anthony Atala, beginning around 12:10 pm. We recommend that you arrive at 10:30 am in order to register, network, plate your lunch and find a seat prior to opening remarks. You are welcome to arrive before 10:30 am as the 3rd Annual Graduate Student Poster Competition judging will be taking place in the pre-function area prior to the conference, and to network with students and sponsors prior to the event starting.

Where to Park:
Cone Parking Deck #1 – Located on University Road. Look for lawn signs directing you to the parking deck when you enter the main campus entrance off of Highway 49. We will provide tokens at the conference registration desk for free parking.
Conference - Barnhardt Student Activities Center, 3rd Floor Salons:
The Barnhardt Student Activities Center (#46 on map), is located near the parking deck. Look for green lawn signs pointing you towards the SAC. When you enter the building look for additional signs pointing you to the elevator, take the elevator to the 3rd floor of the facility.
Reception – UNC Charlotte Bioinformatics and Genomics Center:
Following the Charlotte Biotechnology Conference we will be hosting a reception at the new Bioinformatics and Genomics Center (#68 on map) from 5:15-7:30 pm. You will need to drive to this location as the new building is located on the Millennial Campus near the Highway 29 UNC Charlotte Campus Entrance. When exiting the Cone Parking Deck, there will be "Bioinformatics" signs pointing you in the direction towards the reception. You will also receive a "green hang tag" for your car in order to park on that side of campus. Please be sure to display that tag either on your mirror or dash so that it is visible to campus police. Student volunteers will be located at each lot to assist you in parking and locating the reception.
